Book three in the Handcuffs and Happily Ever Afters series and it may have been my favorite so far! 5 stars!!

Candace (Candy) became a DEA agent because she , like her brother Mitch that was featured in book 2, wanted to bring down the people that were selling drugs in a way to make for the fact that their sister died of a drug overdose when in high school. If you’ve read the series you know that she played also role in helping to bring down the drug lords in Size Matters as well. Things haven’t gone that well for her since her older brother found his HAE and got out of the DEA and became just a regular cop. Nope, in fact she screwed up big time and almost got herself killed leaving someone else to clean up her mess In retaliation, she has been taken off the streets and now has been deemed bodyguard to a tiny foul-mouthed porno granny, Shoshanna LaHump, who just so happens to be a famous erotica writer with a huge following. Someone wants Shoshanna dead and her boss has made it his personal vendetta to make sure that doesn’t happen. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he’s also given her a partner, a partner that she doesn’t want but can’t seem to stop thinking about ever since she found that his name was not David.

Trust me when I say that these books should really be read in order, no you don’t have to BUT they are seriously laugh out funny and reading them in order you will get to the characters in this book and how they grown so I feel that it’s a must. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

My favorite character in book one and my two favorite characters in book two all play major roles in this book and those are Shoshanna, Mrs. C and Edith. These three old women are something else and if they existed in real life, I would love to meet them although I would be sure to visit when Shoshanna wasn’t eating! (You’ll know what I’m talking about once you’ve read the book) Luke and Candy are both great as well and truly are made for each since their answer to any problem is to shoot it. It makes for some great back and forth banters.

I certainly hope that there will be a book four. The ending of this book does lead you to believe that there will be one but I couldn’t find anything on her website. One thing that I will say about Robyn Peterson and the characters in this series are they are all pretty much the same but with different names and stories. I personally love it though because foul mouth characters that can kick some ass while making me laugh are my favorite kind. I can assure you that I will read anything that Mrs. Peterson writes and next on my list of hers is her Hot Damned Series.

Welcome to the weird world of Robyn Peterman where sex toys and 70 year old lesbians are run of the mill. This latest book doesn't disappoint! Candace and Luke are as sexy and screwed up as the rest of the "family". Their story made me laugh out loud, tear up and wish they existed in real life cuz I'm sure we'd be great friends. Robyn has done it again! Can't wait to see who gets their own story next!
I gave this 1 star since the first 50% wasn't too bad. After that it went downhill for me. It focused more on describing what goes on at erotica conventions and clothes/people including a lot of LBT secondary characters. I couldn't relate with the storyline and characters. Plus all the juxtaposition use of Christ word with foul languages. The last draw was in having the alpha male trying to dress him and act as a LBT. Oh yeah..he gets adopted by the erotica author that they're trying to protect. Then he calls her mama. Totally ruined the alpha image and storyline. Not believable at all. What I don't get is how can the DEA act as bodyguards when it had nothing to do with drugs except death threats. Really? Oh yeah the author did try to justify it in the end but totally did not work. Wasted reading for me. Just flipped the pages to the end since I couldn't handle the profanities , character behaviors, and over the top storyline. This was my first time reading this author's book and I won't be buying any of her books. I want my money back.
Once again, Robyn Peterman has delivered with an outrageously funny story. My favorite characters from the previous books in the series returned, and had be laughing out loud from the very beginning of the book.

But what I loved the most about the book was that mixed in with the humor was the amazing story of Candy and Luke. The setting of the story led to so many hysterical scenes, and the attraction between the two of them almost lit the pages of the book on fire.

The commonality that runs through Robyn's books is the loyalty of the characters to the people that they care about. These crazy, over the top people that are so bizarre and funny, and they are so fiercely loyal, which is something that I find incredibly relatable. These are real people. They have real issues, real insecurities and emotions that make me want to jump in the pages of these books.

The mystery in the story was fast paced and brought in more brought everyone together in a wonderful way. In the end, I laughed so much that my stomach hurts, I cried, and I genuflect at the authors feet.
Unbelievable and incredibly heartwarming book I laughed so hard and then I cried a little an then I was overwhelmingly overjoyed at the end this was a very funny and touching it really touched me and made me emotional I really fell in love with all the characters but 2 of my favorites were Candy and Luke also his mom they all seem to truly love each other good and bad and everything in between I fell so in LOVE with this book I'm one of Robyns biggest fan I just love her and god bless her for bringing so much love joy and happiness in to our live this book touched me so much read it !!!!!! I promise you won't be disappointed.
