I found this author on Instagram - I liked the book cover so thought why not? The story is about Sarah meeting a famous racing driver and getting to know each other, and her crazy friend Laura interfering and creating issues for them. By the end of the book you find out why Laura is crazy, and it's a bit sad. I ended up routing for Laura. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read others by this author.

The book reminded me of an ensemble movie--lots of characters busily moving around each other, some with quirks, some crazy, but all finding comfort with each other in the end.
Okay, what did I like? I liked the story between the main h Sarah and H Nathan. It developed sweetly and into a genuine romance. I would have liked the book if it focused on this relationship solely.
What truly hacked me off was the treatment of minor character, Alison! REALLY? The author thinks Southern people talk like this?? She used offensive expressions (that I haven't heard used in about 60 years, and even then not from the mouth of a young person.)
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book for a voluntary review and I thought it was a good book, mostly about friendship, but also about love/romance. This is a story mostly about four female friendships, but it also does a decent job of having guy friendships as well. I think the ‘main’ character is Sarah and she’s gone to the US to help a friend setup an English teashop so that it’s authentic, and manages to get caught up in a world wind romance with a famous racecar driver, even though she can’t believe that it would happen to her and between them. There’s also some crazy drama intermingled with the romance that involves another of the female friends that causes problems along the way. I thought the book was good and think YA readers would enjoy it. Even though I had figured out where the book was heading (with the drama/issues) very early on, I finished it because I had been enjoying it.
What a great escape! If you like British Chick Lit (caps intended) that comes with twists, this is for you!

It's got a group of friends who aren't always on the same page...except the "friend page." Our main character Sarah, twisted Laura, steady eddy Beth, and Jess. They have been friends for a while and now that everyone is grown up and making their ways, one isn't too certain if the friendship is going to survive.

Oh! There is also Kevin, who has moved to NYC to set up a British tea shop. Sarah comes across the pond to help him and meets Nathan, a British race car driver who enjoys a bit of normality in NYC against the backdrop of fame in the UK.
Sarah finds herself intrigued and a bit in awe of Nathan .... and immediately in the limelight as his girlfriend.

The story takes us through Christmas, Sarah's new found noteriety, a rapper New Year’s Eve party, friendship that is both loyal and disloyal, and a unexpected twist at the end.

I like Christmas stories, Celebrity meets normal chick stories, and strong friendship. This book ticked these boxes and made for a great escape one dull weekend. I recommend it!

I didn't complete the book, not my cup of tea.
I usually finish a book even if it is hard to get into. But I did not like all the language. It was just not a book for me.
I like surprises in a book and this has a really good one. Very enjoyable. Would read more from this author. Worth the read.
This was a good book about friendship and love.
I enjoyed the way the author had both girl and guy friendships.
There was some drama with one of the friends and the author kept the reader's interest to the very end.
This would be a very good book for young adults to read about friendship and loyalty.
