My Life Undecided Jessica Brody Books

Brooklyn Pierce never makes good decisions. Her best friend Shayne Kinglsey convinces her to have a party in a model home that gets caught on fire. Apparently, Shayne blamed Brooklyn for the party and isn't speaking to her. So, Brooklyn is facing consequences by herself. 200 hours of community service in a nursing home. She's tired of always making wrong decisions and being compared to her perfect older sister Isabella.

Brooklyn decides to create a blog where readers will vote on what she should do when she has to make a decision. Her decisions range from small ones like trying out for rugby to ones about going on a date with a Southern hottie she can't stop thinking about.

I loved The Karma Club, but I love this one sooo much better. I love it when authors have extras in books. In this case, samples of Brooklyn's blog. At first when I read the book, I was slightly annoyed at Brooklyn. As I kept reading, she became less irritating. I love that characters in Jessica's books always grow.

If you haven't checked any of Jessica's book trailers, check them out now! I love them. They are entertaining and seem like a movie trailer. A while back, I noticed that there was a website where people could have a poll about a problem they were facing. I don't know if it's still up, but I definitely recommend it to check it out.

My Life Undecided Jessica Brody Books Reviews

Brooklyn Pierce makes bad decisions. She has absolutely no judgement, or so it seems. She decides that the only way for her to keep out of trouble, is to take her life out of her hands. She starts a blog, where she posts every decision that she faces during the day, and lets people vote on what choice she should make. She promises to follow them no matter what, even begrudgingly. When she strays from their decision even a little, she notices that she falls back into trouble. Even though she might not make the best decisions, they are hers to make. Maybe Brooklyn just needs to wise up and see if she can follow her heart and not her head and not some poll results.

This was a fun book. I liked the concept that Brooklyn thinks she's so hopeless, that she enlists the help of online polls to make her decisions in life. This is how she ends up on the debate team, and black & blue from rugby tryouts. Brooklyn was funny, even though at times I just wanted to shake her and scream REALLY?!?! REALLY! She gets dumped by her best friend(who is a terrible person), but all she wants is to get back in with her. Oh popularity, the bane of high school existence. I loved Brian, and Hunter. Well, I did like Hunter, he seemed dreamily Southern. I liked the fact that Brooklyn had community service at an old folks home, and read You Choose the Story books. It was a great parallel to Brooklyn's life and lack of decisions at the time. I wish there was more development of the character relationships. I feel like there were only inklings between Brooklyn and Mrs. Moody and Brooklyn and Brian. Maybe it's just me. I enjoyed the reference to Maddy from The Karma Club. I love it when there are cross-references between an author's works(i.e. Sarah Dessen). This was a fun book, and if you wanted to read it, it is certainly worth it. A great beach read, that will make you chuckle and shake your head.

First Line
"The sirens are louder than I anticipated."

Favorite Lines
"'Who's Dudley?'
'Our golden doodle.'
'Your what?'
Brian laughs. 'Our dog. A golden doodle is a cross between a golden retriever and a poodle. He tried to swallow a pinecone once. Didn't work out too well.'"

"'Those mamsy pamsy dog breeders have to have a name for everything. Back when I had Ruby here, we called her what she was. A mutt.'"

Very entertaining book! Couldn't stop reading it! I think I'll read through it AGAIN! Totally recommend this book to anyone over the age of 10 or 13! Awesome Book!!!!!!!!!!
For a refreshing set of characters and a cute plot, this will be a quick read that you won't be able to put down!

This book has made me excited to read Jessica's other books such as the Karma Club. I'm glad I discovered this book, and you won't be disappointed! Very well written, easy to connect with the characters despite Brooklyn Peirce only being 15 and over all just a joy to read.

If you like YA, you'll love My Life Undecided by Jessica Brody, it was easy to rate it 5 stars!
I recommend this book to people who enjoy teenage books with a good message. This boom was flawless. It had everything a book should have. It's also highly entertaining. And the author definitely represents voice in this book. Jessica Brody is officially my new favorite author. Check out52 reasons to hate my father written by her as well. It's a good one. I will make the choice easier for you buy the book My Life Undecided.
I LOVED the book! I've learned a lot from Jessica in this book. It teaches you a lot and I loved the ending. I would say that this book is just like romance life in high school, but it has lots of unexpected twists and turns.
I loved the concept of this book. Brooklyn is known for making bad decisions so she decides to let others make decisions for her. She creates an anonymous blog and puts the decisions she has to make out there and lets the people reading decide what course of action she will take. Of course she's not always happy about the decisions made but she's promised to follow them, regardless. And on occasion she re-states her case because she's sure they didn't quite understand the implications of how they voted.

It's a fun, fast paced book that I thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend it.
